Product Description

The Fronius TransSteel 3000C Pulse Multi-Process Welder (models 49,0400,0019 & 49,0400,0020) stands out in its class. With over 2000 different steel alloys, welding steel can be challenging due to its metallurgic qualities. In steel construction, matching heat input to material thickness is crucial to avoid hardness peaks and cracking. The TransSteel series offers numerous options tailored to these properties. It operates on 3 Phase 460v and features an optimized 4-roller wire feeding system. Spot and interval welding come as standard. The cart is sold separately. The MIG-only package includes a pre-assembled and tested TransSteel 3000C power source, an integrated wire feeder, an MTG 400i MIG torch, a ground cable and clamp, a US-style gas adapter, a consumable setup for 040 steel, contact tips, feeder rolls, a flow meter with gas adapter, and a mains power cable. The MIG/TIG/STICK package includes all of the above plus a TTG 220A TIG torch, a TIG consumable kit, and an electrode holder. Click the image below to view the full spec sheet.

Using the Fronius TransSteel 3000C Pulse Welder is straightforward. First, make sure it's connected to a 3 Phase 460v power supply. For MIG welding, assemble the included MIG torch and connect the gas adapter. Load the appropriate feeder roll and insert the wire. Adjust the wire feeding speed according to your needs. For TIG and STICK welding, follow the same power connection steps and attach the relevant torches or holders. When welding, always match the heat input to the thickness of the steel material to prevent issues like hardness peaks and cracking. Remember to wear proper safety gear such as gloves, goggles, and a welding mask. After use, turn off the power and disconnect the cables. Keep the welder in a dry and clean place. Periodically check the wire feeder for any signs of wear and tear, and replace the consumables like contact tips and feeder rolls when necessary. The cart, if you purchase it, should also be kept in good condition and stored properly.
