Using the Miller Maxstar 400 is a breeze. First, connect the power cord to a suitable single - phase input voltage between 208 - 600V. Thanks to the Auto - Line™ Technology, you don't need to do any manual linking. Then, connect the Dinse - style connectors and the torch kit. Fill the Coolmate 3.5 with the provided coolant.
When it comes to welding, use the intuitive LCD display to set up the machine and select the right parameters. If you're not sure about the settings, the Pro - Set feature can help you. Just select it and adjust until Pro - Set appears on the display.
To reduce noise during welding, activate the QuietPulse™ feature by choosing the sine or triangular waveshape. You can also use the Program Memory to save your favorite settings for future use.
For maintenance, regularly check the coolant level in the Coolmate 3.5 and replace it when needed. Keep the machine clean and free from dust. If you need to update the software, use the USB port to easily do so. And always make sure to follow the safety instructions provided in the manual.
