Description
The TransTig is a fully digitized TIG DC power source. It comes in different power categories from 80 to 500 A and varies in mobility, ranging from portable to high-power stationary systems. All models feature a super-robust design for a long service life and an easy-to-understand operating concept.
Special Functions:
TAC - With the TAC function, just one spot is enough for tacking. The pulsed arc makes the two weld pools move and merge quickly into one single weld-pool. It's great for welding thin sheets without filler metal.
HF Ignition - The touchless and gentle high-frequency ignition is the simplest way to start the arc.
Touchdown Ignition - Touchdown ignition is ideal for sensitive applications as it avoids electromagnetic interference that can occur during HF ignition.

Specifications
Using this Fronius TransTig 230i water - cooled welder is straightforward. First, set up the 230A DC welding power source and connect the ground cable. Install the air - cooled TIG torch and attach the water cooler with the flow sensor. Connect the flow meter with the gas adapter. When welding, you can choose from different functions. For tacking, use the TAC function. If you want an easy arc start, go for the HF ignition. And for sensitive areas, use the touchdown ignition. Remember to follow safety rules. Wear proper protective gear like welding gloves and goggles. When not in use, keep the welder in a dry place. Regularly check the water cooler for proper flow and the cables for any damage. This will help keep your welder in good condition and ensure long - lasting performance.
